Beschrijving
The Academy 12e is a right-handed, six-string, non-cutaway Grand Concert guitar. It pairs a solid torrefied spruce top with layered walnut back and sides (an outer walnut layer over a poplar core), all in a thin matte finish. X bracing supports the top, and an armrest is carved into the lower bout for the strumming arm.
The Taylor Neck has a slender profile and a 24-7/8" scale length with a 1-11/16" nut width. Hardware includes a Nubone nut, Micarta saddle, black bridge pins, chrome tuners and a tortoise pickguard. It ships strung with D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze lights (.012 - .053).
For amplification it has ES-B electronics, a pickup and preamp combination with a built-in digital chromatic tuner, powered by a 9-volt battery. A padded gig bag is included. The guitar is manufactured in Tecate, Mexico.
