Magneto
Magneto is a 28hp Eurorack module that combines a stereo four-head tape delay with a looper, phrase sampler and spring reverb. It suits modular users who want tape-style echo, looping and stereo width, with CV control of its main functions.

Magneto models a multi-head tape echo with one record head and four playback heads. It has three modes: Echo, a Sound on Sound looper and a phrase sampler. Tape character is shaped with Record Level saturation, Tape Age, Low Cut, Crinkle and Wow & Flutter controls, and a built-in spring reverb can be mixed in.
Other functions include a shift mode with pitched playback heads, self-oscillation that can be tuned with 1V/octave speed CV or quantized to scales, infinite hold, reverse playback, a pause control with tape slowdown and startup effects, and an audio scrubber. Each head has its own level, feedback switch and clock output that is phase aligned to the incoming clock or tap.
The module has stereo inputs and outputs, a mono input that feeds both channels, and a send/return loop. CV inputs cover speed, wet level, repeats, spring level, clock, tap and the transport functions. The dry path is analog and the processing runs on an Analog Devices SHARC DSP. Two DIP switches on the board change the feedback CV behaviour and enable a dual split mode.
