The AWS 948 δelta is a 24-fader analogue SuperAnalogue console with integrated DAW control, 24 mic preamps and stereo/dual-mono channel strips that give 48 summing inputs. It is aimed at mid-scale commercial recording and production facilities that mix between analogue and DAW.

The AWS 948 combines an SSL SuperAnalogue console with hands-on DAW control in one compact 24-fader frame. Each channel strip is stereo or dual mono, with a second line-level input per channel, which gives 48 summing channels. The surface has 24 mic preamps, dual-curve SSL EQ on every channel, two assignable dynamics strips and a stereo bus compressor that can be assigned to the REC or MIX bus.
DAW control runs over Ethernet and covers Pro Tools, Logic, Nuendo, Sonar and other major DAWs. It provides transport controls, V-Pot encoders with LED position indication, digital scribble strips, a DAW fader mode, routing control and a built-in TFT display for plug-in editing. The δelta-Control plug-ins (AAX/AU/VST/VST3) let the DAW automate channel and bus levels, cuts and inserts, and the 24 Channel version also covers EQ, Cue and FX switches.
The centre section handles 5.1 monitoring with two independent 5.1 outputs, two stereo mini outputs, bass management, external source selection and a six-channel insert and meter output. TotalRecall saves and recalls analogue settings through SSL's Logictivity browser. Summing inputs let DAW tracks reach the Cue and FX busses.
