The SRH440A is a closed-back, over-ear studio headphone built around 40 mm dynamic neodymium drivers. It is voiced for a natural, balanced response with low distortion across an extended frequency range, and the closed circumaural cups reduce background noise around the listener.
The headband is padded for long sessions, and the finish is intended to hold up to regular use. Replacement earpads are available as a separate accessory, as are a carrying pouch, a coiled 3.5 mm cable and a universal 3.5 mm headphone communication cable.
The headphones come with a detachable straight cable, so a worn or damaged lead can be swapped without replacing the headphones. A threaded 1/4" (6.3 mm) gold-plated adapter is supplied for connecting to larger headphone outputs, and a two-year warranty is included.
