The CVO is an overhead condenser microphone in Shure's Centraverse range, intended for permanent installations. Its frequency response is tailored to pick up fast transients from sources such as choirs and other ensembles, and its low-profile body keeps visibility to a minimum in a variety of rooms.
CommShield technology protects the microphone against RF interference from portable wireless devices such as smartphones, and gives it high resistance to strong nearby radio signals. Construction is described as rugged and dependable.
An integrated wire aiming hanger makes it possible to position the microphone precisely above the performers. A snap-fit windscreen is supplied with each unit. The microphone is offered in black or white; the listing here is for the black version. Replacement snap-fit windscreens are sold separately in a 4-pack (ACVO4WS).
