The Blues Cube Artist is an 80-watt combo amp with a 12-inch speaker in an open-back poplar cabinet. Instead of physical tubes it uses Tube Logic circuitry, which reproduces the behaviour of a tweed-era tube amp, including preamp and output-stage distortion and power-supply sag. The amp needs no tube replacement.
It has independent Clean and Crunch channels, each with Boost and Tone switches, and a Dual Tone mode that blends the two. Shared controls are Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence and Master. A four-position Power Control (0.5 W, 15 W, 45 W, Max) lets the output stage be driven hard at lower volumes. Onboard reverb and tremolo are included, along with an effects loop and a tap button.
Connections include high and low instrument inputs, line out, a stereo headphone jack, effects loop send and return, and a USB type B port for recording directly to a computer. Three footswitch jacks accept the optional GA-FC foot controller or BOSS FS-5L, FS-6 and FS-7 footswitches for channel select, Dual Tone, tremolo and effects loop control. The amp comes in Vintage Blond and Black finishes.
