The twenty.23 is a two-way floorstanding speaker from PMC's twenty series, now listed among the maker's archive products. It uses Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading, with an effective line length of 2.4m, to get a stated bass response down to 29Hz from a cabinet only 152mm wide.
The low-frequency driver is a lightweight doped 5.5-inch (140mm) cone on a cast alloy chassis. The high-frequency unit is a 27mm Sonolex soft dome made with SEAS and cooled with ferrofluid. The crossover point is 1.8kHz. Sensitivity is 87dB at 1 watt at 1 metre, with an 8 ohm impedance.
Connection is through two pairs of 4mm sockets, so the speaker can be bi-wired or bi-amped. It stands on spikes, and a plinth and spike installation guide is available. A 20-year warranty applies when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
