Beschrijving
The Origin20 Combo is a one-channel valve combo built around two EL34 power valves and three ECC83 valves in the preamp and phase splitter. Its Powerstem system reduces the voltage rails around the power amp to move between 20W, about 3W and about 0.5W, rather than using the usual pentode/triode switching, so the tone is meant to stay consistent at lower volumes.
Tone shaping comes from gain (with a pull boost), tilt, bass, middle, treble, master and presence controls. The tilt control blends from a standard tone toward a brighter setting, an idea taken from the multi-input design of the 1959SLP and JTM45. A two-way footswitch handles the gain boost and switches the series effects loop on and off.
The amp has a single 1/4" instrument input, three speaker outputs (16Ω and 8Ω) and a 1/4" DI output. It uses a 1x10" Celestion VT-Junior speaker and comes in black with a detachable power cable. It is designed and engineered in the UK and made in Vietnam.
