The Sevens is a pair of active speakers with built-in amplification and digital signal processing. Each speaker has a 6.5-inch high-excursion driver and a 90° x 90° Tractrix horn for the high frequencies. The system decodes hi-res audio up to 192kHz / 24-bit and does not need an AV receiver.
Inputs cover Bluetooth wireless, digital optical, 3.5 mm analog and RCA/Phono, plus an HDMI-ARC connection to a TV. With HDMI-ARC, the existing TV remote can control speaker volume. A subwoofer output allows a powered subwoofer to be added, and left/right speaker switching helps with placement.
The Klipsch Connect app (iOS and Android) provides equalization, a virtual remote, subwoofer volume and speaker placement control, firmware updates and support access. The cabinets use real wood finishes, metal controls, fabric grilles and cork pads. Optional 24-inch speaker stands are offered separately.
