The Sevens II are powered speakers that combine Klipsch speaker design with an Onkyo-developed electronics package built on a full AVR architecture. This allows content processing, decoding and optimisation inside the speakers, so a separate receiver is not required. A single HDMI 2.1 eARC connection to a TV handles video and audio pass-through, including Dolby Atmos, and supports 4K/120, VRR, ALLM and HDR for gaming.
Dirac Live room correction is included with a standard licence and tunes the output to the room after a quick scan. A one-piece BMC baffle with a curved radius is used to reduce resonance and widen the soundstage. The top-edge control panel has a metal volume wheel and source button, and a backlit remote is supplied. Finishes include a new Red Oak wood veneer.
For music, the speakers stream through Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect. A dedicated analog input has a built-in phono stage so a turntable can be connected directly. Optional wireless stereo playback is available at 48kHz, or 96kHz over a wired connection. Presets, input and source are managed in the Klipsch Connect mobile app.
