The 1032C is a two-way active monitor that combines the cabinet styling of the 1000 series with digital connectivity, a universal power supply and Class D amplification. Each driver has its own amplifier, with 250 W for the bass cone and 150 W for the metal dome tweeter, behind an active crossover and a Directivity Control Waveguide.
As a Smart Active Monitor it works with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software, which handles level, distance delay and room response compensation, including automated AutoCal calibration. Calibration needs GLM software plus either a 9320A SAM Reference Controller or a GLM Calibration Kit, both sold separately. Settings can be stored in the monitor if the GLM network is disconnected.
Connections are a balanced analogue XLR input, an AES/EBU digital XLR input with a digital output or thru connector, and two RJ45 ports for the GLM control network. Protection circuitry limits the output to guard the drivers, and Intelligent Signal Sensing puts the monitor into a low-power sleep state when no signal is present.
