The Vintage Twelve is a floorstanding speaker sold as a pair. It uses a single 300mm IsoFlare point source driver with a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone and a 75mm titanium alloy dome compression tweeter on a neodymium magnet system. The two-way design crosses over at 750Hz and has a downward-firing port with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser.
The cabinet is birch ply with extensive internal bracing, finished in oiled walnut with solid walnut trim, and the front carries grilles with machined metal trim. It shares its driver approach with the contemporary-styled F1-12S, but with a traditional look. The crossover is a low-loss, bi-wired passive design with 2nd order low and high pass sections, treated with a deep cryogenic process.
Two adjustments let the sound be tuned to the room and the system: a front-mounted analogue Presence control (2.5kHz to 5.0kHz, +/-3dB) and a high frequency energy adjustment (750Hz to 26kHz, +/-3dB). Connection is through bi-wired terminals to an amplifier rated 20 to 350 W RMS.
