Beschrijving

Wave XLR MK.2 is a compact USB-C interface that connects one XLR microphone, dynamic or condenser, to a Windows or Mac computer. It is built around a Wave FX Processor, a custom chip that combines Clipguard 2.0 anti-distortion protection, onboard DSP effects and VST insert processing in a single signal path. A built-in preamp provides up to 80 dB of gain, enough for quiet dynamic mics such as the Shure SM7B, and Auto Gain can set the input level automatically. 48V phantom power is available for condenser mics.

A multifunction dial and capacitive mute button sit on the front, with a continuous LED ring that shows mode and phantom power status. The 3.5 mm headphone output supports real-time monitoring of the DSP-processed voice, with a High Power Mode of up to 170 mW for high-impedance headphones. The front faceplate is removable, though faceplates from the first-generation Wave XLR do not fit.

The unit connects over USB-C and needs a computer for power and operation. Wave Link software, a free download, provides mixing, routing, effects, monitoring controls and Voice Tune, and the device can also be controlled from a Stream Deck. Without Wave Link it works as a basic USB audio interface.
