Black Ash is a limited-run fuzz/overdrive guitar pedal inspired by the vintage three-knob Bender circuit, built with rare vintage components. It suits guitarists, bassists and synth players after a detailed, bright-leaning fuzz. It is no longer in production.

Black Ash is a fuzz/overdrive pedal that draws on the vintage three-knob Bender design. It was limited to 1500 units worldwide and built with a selection of rare parts, including paper-in-oil capacitors and NOS half-watt carbon composition resistors. The voicing combines a bright, detailed treble response with a firm midrange and deep bass extension.
Three controls shape the sound: Fuzz sets the amount of gain, Top adjusts high frequencies between 2 kHz and 10 kHz to push the signal forward or back in a mix, and Level sets the output volume. Audio demos cover guitar, bass and synth sources.
The pedal is true bypass using electronic relay-based switching, so audio does not pass when it is unpowered. It runs from a standard 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-center barrel connector. A pedal-specific, transformer-isolated or isolated-output supply is recommended, and higher voltages should not be used. The maker has marked the model as discontinued.
