The U4MIDI WC is a wired MIDI interface that connects to a host over USB-C and works with macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux and Chrome OS without extra drivers. Its 32-bit processor is described as running four times faster than traditional MIDI interfaces, aiming for accurate transmission without latency, jitter or dropouts.
Beyond basic interface duty, the unit works as a MIDI router, filter and mapper. Routing, filtering and mapping are set up in the UxMIDI Tools software, and up to four presets can be stored so the unit can run standalone without a computer.
Wireless Bluetooth MIDI is optional: the separate WIDI Core module is compatible with the U4MIDI WC, as well as the MIDI Thru5 WC and H4MIDI WC. Wired MIDI cables and TRS-to-5-pin DIN MIDI cables are offered as companion accessories.
