Beschrijving
The DS-1W is a compact distortion pedal in the Waza Craft series. It keeps the look and character of the original 1978 DS-1 but uses a newly revised two-stage gain circuit made from discrete analog components. The pedal has a buffered bypass, so the signal stays clean and clear when the effect is off.
A Mode switch selects between two voicings. Standard mode reproduces the original DS-1 sound, with a tone control that boosts and cuts low and high frequencies together. Custom mode gives a thicker, mid-focused distortion with more touch response and input sensitivity, and its available level is 6 dB higher. This makes it more useful as a gain booster for amps and other pedals.
Controls are DIST, LEVEL and TONE knobs, a pedal switch and a CHECK indicator that also shows battery state. It has 1/4-inch input and output jacks and a DC IN jack. It runs on a 9 V battery, which is included, or on an optional PSA series AC adaptor.
