The Q2n records 720p or 1080p video at 24 or 30 fps, saving MOV files (H.264) to micro SD, SDHC or SDXC cards up to 128 GB. A fixed-focus F2.0 lens with a 160° field of view is paired with a 1/3-inch 3-megapixel CMOS sensor. Five field-of-view steps and a choice of scene presets, including several concert, club and rehearsal settings, help adapt the picture to different lighting.
Audio comes from a 120° X/Y stereo microphone pair that handles up to 120 dB SPL. Gain can be set manually with on-screen metering or left to Auto Gain, and a low-cut filter is available. The unit can also work as a stand-alone WAV recorder up to 24-bit/96 kHz. A stereo mini input accepts external sources and supports plug-in power.
A micro HDMI output connects to a TV, and a combined line/headphone mini jack allows monitoring. Over USB the Q2n works as a mass storage device, an audio interface, or a webcam with a USB microphone function, including with iOS devices when a suitable adapter is used. Power is from two AA batteries, and a standard tripod mount is built in.
