SP-555
The SP-555 is a 16-pad sampler with built-in performance effects, aimed at DJs, producers and live performers. It samples from line, mic or USB audio, stores samples on CompactFlash cards, and includes a Loop Capture function and a D Beam controller.

The SP-555 is a pad sampler that records from a line input, a phantom-powered mic input, USB audio streaming, or imported WAV/AIFF files. Its Loop Capture function grabs about 15 seconds of incoming audio or a live performance and plays it back in time with other material. Captured loops can pass through the effects in real time, be assigned to a pad, and be layered sound-on-sound.
The unit has 37 DSP effect types, including Voice Transformer, Delay, Isolator, Super Filter and DJFX Looper. An Effect Memory recalls saved settings from the pads without glitching when effects are switched. There are 16 velocity-sensitive pads, three control knobs and an infrared D Beam controller. V-LINK lets it sync with compatible video equipment. A pattern sequencer records patterns with realtime loop recording and quantize.
Samples and patterns are stored in internal memory or on a CompactFlash card of 32 MB to 2 GB. Connections are RCA line in and out, a 1/4 inch headphone jack, a combo-style mic input, a pedal jack, MIDI In/Out and USB. USB carries both MIDI and audio, so the SP-555 can work as an audio interface with a DAW or DJ application. Wave Converter software for Mac and PC handles WAV/AIFF import and export.
