The Classic-V9 is a distortion pedal that carries over the sound of the Tonebone Classic tube distortion into a solid-state design. It uses two gain stages to cover a range of tones, from blues and country to rock, and it is described as cleaning up in the way a tube amp does while following the dynamics of the player's touch.
The input section is built around a class-A buffer. This gives a feel close to a true-bypass pedal while adding greater noise rejection and a lower output impedance, so the pedal can also drive several other pedals in a chain. Post-distortion EQ controls shape the final tone with high sensitivity.
Power comes from a standard 9V supply. The maker lists the model under part number R800 7011 00 and has discontinued it; a user guide and a smart sheet are available for existing owners.
