The E120 is a single-unit audio system that mounts in a wall back box and powers a pair of passive speakers. A class D stereo amplifier delivers 2 x 25W into 6 ohms. It is intended for use with in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, but it also works with any pair of passive speakers rated 6 to 8 ohms. The speaker outputs can be set to stereo or dual mono, and two speakers can be wired in series on each output for larger rooms.
Sources are Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP, with AVRCP track information) and DAB/DAB+ or FM radio with RDS, with up to five one-touch presets. A mini TOSLINK optical input and a 3.5mm analogue input allow a TV or other source to be connected. A 3.5mm analogue output, fixed or variable, can feed a subwoofer, an external power amplifier or another E120. Control is by touch-sensitive buttons on the panel, an infra-red remote and a splash-proof remote. The 3.2-inch colour display shows track, artist and album, has a light sensor for automatic brightness and offers two alarms.
The wall panel is rated IP54, so it can be installed in kitchens and bathrooms, and it comes in black or white. Speaker cable, power cable, antenna and a back box are supplied.
