PMC10

The PMC10 is a three-way active monitor built around PMC's ATL transmission-line cabinet with LaminairX vents. It combines a hand-built 34mm soft-dome tweeter, the new PMC75v3 75mm soft-dome midrange driver with a-void damping, and a custom-designed 10-inch bass driver. The cabinet is intended to give low-frequency extension and control normally expected from larger enclosures, with a stated response of 23Hz to 25kHz.

Each cabinet is driven by a PMC master36 rack-mountable DSP/amplifier unit using Class-D amplification: 800W for the tweeter, 800W for the midrange and 1000W for the bass driver, 2600W in total. The DSP provides digital crossovers matched to the drivers, excursion limiting for protection and room-alignment EQ.

The system takes analogue and digital inputs (digital up to 192kHz). Settings are controlled over a standard LAN through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface, which uses a built-in web server and works from any PC or Mac browser over wired Ethernet. System variants include vertical and horizontal layouts and centre-channel versions, with options to add a subwoofer or upgrade to a twin-cabinet XBD configuration.
