The Active twenty5.21i is the smallest model in the Active twenty5i range. It is a two-way design with a 5.5 inch long-throw g-weave cone woofer and a 19mm SONOMEX fabric soft-dome tweeter, each driven by its own 100W amplifier through an active crossover set at 1.65kHz. Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading, with an effective line length of 1.72m, gives deeper bass than the compact cabinet would normally suggest.
The speaker suits small and medium rooms and can sit on a stand or a shelf. It can also serve as an effects speaker in an immersive multichannel system. Sensitivity can be switched between a low and a high setting, which helps match it to different sources.
Inputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue, so it works with any preamplifier or streamer that has volume control. Registering the product within 10 days of purchase extends the warranty to 20 years, subject to terms.
