The № 632 is a dual-monaural stereo amplifier with a fully discrete, fully balanced signal path. It runs in Class A/AB with a high bias current, and the circuit needs very little feedback to keep distortion low and bandwidth wide. Power comes from a custom ultra-low-noise toroidal transformer mounted in the centre of the chassis and structurally isolated from the rest.
The chassis is modular, so the sensitive low-level analog circuitry is kept apart from the power supply, with key components on rubber mounts. Vibration-damping, mechanically isolated feet decouple the amplifier from the surface it stands on. The exterior is black anodized aluminium and steel with a silver plinth, a glass centre panel on the front with red accent lighting, and a glass top element surrounded by vents. Side panels are shaped as heat sinks.
For connections, there are two balanced XLR inputs and two unbalanced RCA inputs. Each output channel has two pairs of Hurricane binding posts. Two 3.5 mm trigger connectors (one in, one out) allow system power control, and a USB-A port is reserved for service use.
