The G-17 Air is a compact powered speaker that plugs into a wall outlet and joins an existing Wi-Fi network. Once connected, it plays music wirelessly from an iTunes library using AirPlay, so no cable to the source device is needed.
Control and playback come from an Apple smart device such as an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later. The speaker is also described as working with the newest Apple devices.
The design uses horn-loaded technology inside a very thin enclosure. The cabinet has a minimalist look with a high-gloss piano black finish. It can be mounted on a wall or placed on the supplied dark glass base.
