The Ci200QL is a rectangular architectural loudspeaker for mounting in a wall or ceiling. It uses a Uni-Q driver array in which the 25 mm (1 in.) tweeter sits at the acoustic centre of the 200 mm (8 in.) bass/midrange cone, so both act as a single point source and spread sound widely and evenly through the room.
The Ultra Thin Bezel (UTB) design leaves only a very slim rim visible around the speaker. Combined with the wide dispersion, this gives freedom in placement and allows a room to be covered with fewer speakers. The speaker is rated for 35 Hz to 34 kHz (±6 dB) in open-backed use, with a sensitivity of 90 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and a crossover frequency of 2.5 kHz.
The Ci200QL is a passive speaker and is driven by an amplifier rated for 10 to 150 W. It needs a cut-out of 334 mm x 238 mm and a mounting depth of 99.8 mm from the surface. Further details are available through KEF's Ci software download page.
