Highland Park

The HP-1 is a closed-back circumaural headphone with 40 mm drivers, built for mixing and production as well as gaming and general listening. A DSP chip provides three selectable voicings: Studio, a transparent reference tuning; Bass Heavy, modelled on headphones popular with hip-hop listeners; and Consumer, which imitates the natural, balanced sound of headphones sold with phones and tablets. Switching between them lets users check how a mix translates to common listening systems. The DSP cannot be bypassed and adds 17 ms of latency.

For everyday use it has active noise cancelling, a built-in microphone for calls, and on-ear buttons for level, track skip and call answering. Battery life is 40+ hours per charge, and the headphone is foldable. Earcups are replaceable vegan leather, with a vegan leather headband.

It connects by Bluetooth (AAC and SBC) or by the supplied 3.5 mm cable, which the maker recommends for higher fidelity. Charging is over USB-C. A carrying case and a 3.5 mm to 1/4-inch adapter are included.
