The ZEN CAN Signature is a fully balanced, dual-mono analogue headphone amplifier built on discrete Class A circuitry derived from the Pro iCAN. This revision adds upgraded circuitry, a military-spec PCB, ELNA Silmic II and OS-CON capacitors and OV-series op-amps. Balanced output reaches 1,890mW into 64 ohms and over 15V into 600 ohms.
Gain is switchable in four steps (0, 6, 12 and 18dB) to suit sensitive IEMs through to power-hungry headphones. Two analogue processing modes, XSpace and XBass, widen the soundstage and add low-end weight. The unit ships in Normal, HFM, MZ99 and HD6XX versions; the last three add a headphone-specific Active EQ for HIFIMAN, Meze 99 and Sennheiser HD 6XX models.
Inputs are stereo RCA, 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced. Headphones connect via a 4.4mm balanced or a 6.3mm single-ended jack, and a rear analogue balanced output can feed active speakers through a 4.4mm to XLR cable. Power comes from the included iPower2 supply with Active Noise Cancellation II.
