xCAN

The xCAN is a dual-mono headphone amplifier that delivers up to 1,000 mW per channel from its balanced output. It is intended for headphones from roughly 16 to 600 ohms, and it has analogue 3.5mm and 2.5mm inputs alongside a wireless input. The 2.5mm output is always balanced, and unbalanced signals are converted to balanced. An S-Balanced scheme is used on the 3.5mm connection.
The wireless input uses a Bluetooth receiver whose signal is passed to an ESS Sabre DAC with jitter elimination before conversion. It supports AAC, aptX, aptX LL and SBC. Sound-shaping options include the 3D+ Holographic soundstage processing and the XBass II analogue bass correction, which are cycled with a button on the unit.
The amplifier has its own USB Type-C charging input, so it does not draw power from the connected source. Battery life is up to 18 hours as an analogue amplifier or 12 hours over Bluetooth. There is no USB audio input.
