The UniFi 2.0 UB52 is a bass-reflex bookshelf speaker with three separate drive units: a 5-1/4" aluminum woofer, a 4" aluminum midrange and a 1" soft-dome tweeter. The midrange and tweeter share one concentric assembly, which has a wide-surround tweeter and a neodymium magnet system. Crossover points are 200 Hz and 2000 Hz, and nominal impedance is 6 Ω.
The woofer has a one-piece dished aluminum cone, an oversized magnet, a larger voice coil and an extended pole piece. The cabinet has thick MDF walls with internal bracing to limit panel vibration, and it is finished in black ash vinyl. The enclosure is slimmer than the first-generation UniFi and has front-firing port tubes.
The speaker takes a standard loudspeaker connection from an external amplifier. It is rated for 140 W maximum input and 85 dB sensitivity. It belongs to a series that also includes the UF52 floorstander and the UC52 center channel.
