The R1280DB is a powered stereo bookshelf speaker set in MDF cabinets. Each speaker pairs a 4-inch mid/bass driver with a 0.5-inch silk-diaphragm tweeter, split by a 2-way active crossover. Output is 21W per side (42W RMS in total), and a flared, front-facing bass reflex port extends the low end.
Bass, treble and master volume are set with dials on the side panel. A wireless remote handles volume and mute. The enclosures are 100% MDF, which keeps cabinet resonance and distortion down.
For connections there are optical and coaxial digital inputs, two sets of RCA line inputs and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless playback from phones and other devices. This allows a TV, computer, turntable preamp, CD player or phone to be connected at the same time and switched between.
