MC 950
The MC 950 is a wired true condenser microphone with a supercardioid pattern, aimed at studio recording and loud live stages. It suits piano, choirs, orchestras, solo instruments and, with a wind shield, spoken and sung vocals.

The MC 950 is a handmade true condenser microphone built in Germany. Its supercardioid pattern is almost frequency-independent and reduces pickup from the sides and partly from the rear, with the strongest rejection at 140° and 220°. This helps with channel separation in the studio and on a loud stage.
The housing has two built-in switches: a 15 dB attenuation pad for loud sources and a low-cut filter (6 dB/octave at 250 Hz) that tames impact noise and proximity-effect bass. The gold-vapourised diaphragm gives fast transient response, and the 35 mV/Pa output means little preamp gain is needed with interfaces and mixing consoles.
The microphone connects through a 3-pin XLR and runs on 11–52 V phantom power. Each unit is measured individually and ships with a printed measurement curve in a hard case. The metal housing has a sintered-disc head grille, and most parts can be replaced through service.
