The Blue BYRD 2nd generation is a closed, in-ear Bluetooth headset worn with a neckband. It has an in-line remote with a microphone, and the microphone uses Qualcomm cVc noise handling with a sidetone function to help speech come across clearly. Sound personalization is part of the package.
Battery runtime is up to 14 hours, and a 10-minute charge gives about 2 hours of playback. The headset can be used while it charges. Five pairs of eartips are supplied to help with fit, and the earbuds have a dedicated shape aimed at comfort.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint support, so two devices can be paired at once. Codecs are Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, aptX, AAC and SBC. Alexa is built in, and Google Fast Pair is supported. Range is 10 m and the cable is fixed and runs to both sides.
