MONITOR1 is a compact, fully passive level controller for stereo monitoring. It contains no active circuitry and needs no external power, so the signal from the mixer or audio interface reaches the active monitors without added electronics. A single large volume knob sets the level, and a mute button silences the output when needed.

The unit takes a stereo input on XLR/TRS combo connectors or on 3.5 mm (1/8") jacks, and passes the signal to stereo XLR outputs or 3.5 mm outputs. This allows it to be inserted into most desktop setups between the source and a pair of powered speakers. The small footprint keeps it easy to place on a desk within reach.

The large control is intended to give finer, more repeatable adjustment than a small knob would, so a listening level can be reached quickly and accurately. It is suited to bedroom setups as well as professional recording rooms.
