DeepMind 6X

The synth is built around a fully analog signal path with six voices. Each voice has two oscillators, two LFOs, three four-stage ADSR envelope generators and an IR3109-style low-pass filter switchable between 12 and 24 dB slopes. Oscillator modes include several unison, mono and poly settings, and sync, oscillator drift and parameter drift are available. A 6 dB high-pass filter with a +12 dB boost switch and a global noise generator add further shaping options.

Modulation is handled by an 8-channel matrix with 19 sources and more than 130 destinations. A 32-step control sequencer can be mapped as a modulation source. Other performance tools are a polyphonic arpeggiator with 32 preset patterns, a chord memory holding 36 six-note chords, and polyphonic portamento. Four digital effects engines can be bypassed fully to keep the signal purely analog. There are 1024 user memory slots, and a large LCD shows parameters and menus.

Outputs are servo-balanced stereo TRS, plus a headphone output, sustain and pedal/CV inputs, and MIDI In, Out and Thru. A USB MIDI port serves a computer and firmware updates. Remote control is available from an iPad, PC or Mac app over USB, MIDI or built-in WiFi, and the iPad app adds a preset manager, gig list editor and patch morpher.
