CQ-20B

The CQ-20B is the highest channel-count model in the Allen & Heath CQ range. Each input channel can run in Quick mode, which sets up a full channel of processing from a single knob, or in Complete mode for detailed parameter control. A Gain Assistant sets input gain and keeps monitoring levels during a show, and a Feedback Assistant detects problem frequencies and removes them with up to 16 filters per output.

Audio is processed at 96 kHz. The mixer has four FX engines with reverb, delay and modulation algorithms and instrument-specific presets, and some units include an FX Assist tool that shapes effects according to the input signal. Four DCA groups and four mute groups handle multiple channels together, and an automatic mic mixer is available on all inputs for speech use such as conferences and podcasts.

It has 16 mic/line inputs, two stereo line inputs, main outputs, six monitor outputs and an assignable Alt Out. Control comes from the CQ MixPad app over integrated dual-band Wi-Fi, so no router is needed. Recording and playback options include a 24x24 USB-B interface, SD card, USB stick and Bluetooth playback.
